Our Story

The Forest of Dean Trust was founded in 2020 on a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves an excellent education, delivered within a caring, ambitious, and inclusive community.

Rooted in the heart of Gloucestershire, our Trust brings together schools that share a commitment to helping children and young people thrive academically, personally, and socially. While each school maintains its own unique identity, traditions, and connection to its local community, we are united by a common purpose: to provide exceptional opportunities and outcomes for every learner.

Our journey began with a vision to create a family of schools that could achieve more together than alone. By working collaboratively, sharing expertise, investing in our people, and supporting one another, we have built a Trust where innovation, achievement, and wellbeing are at the centre of everything we do.

Today, the Forest of Dean Trust has three schools, a sixth form and a nursery, serving communities across the region, delivering high-quality education from early years through to secondary education. Our schools benefit from shared professional development, strong leadership, and a collective approach to school improvement, ensuring that every child receives the support, challenge, and encouragement they need to succeed.
